2018 Stars of the Industry Awards & Reception Presented by Sysco

It’s time again to celebrate the people who make our industry shine!

The North Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association’s 2018 Stars of the Industry Awards presented by Sysco  is an annual gala to recognize exemplary performance and service in hospitality across the state.  This event draws 350+ hospitality professionals from around the state, as it is NCRLA’s signature event of the year.

We’re changing up the format this year!  The awards presentation will be preceded by a fantastic dinner reception where guests will have the opportunity to sip & savor the food and beverage trends of 2018, as well as network with industry peers, award nominees and award winners. We’ll then gather to celebrate our award winners in a formal presentation, followed by a sparkling wine and dessert finale.

The evening’s emcee will be Ken Smith, of WRAL-TV in Raleigh. Dinner & dessert will be provided by our presenting sponsor, Sysco, our host sponsor, Sheraton Imperial, our platinum sponsor Butterball and our food truck partner, Mr. Mongolian. Awards will be given that evening in the following categories: Restaurateur of the Year; Restaurant Employee of the Year—management level; Restaurant Employee of the Year—line level; Lodging Operator of the Year; Lodging Employee of the Year—management level; Lodging Employee of the Year—line level; Hospitality Supplier of the Year; Griff & June Glover Award for Distinguished Service; Lifetime Achievement Award; Ken Conrad Award for Service to the Community; Hospitality Champion Award; NCRLA Chef of the Year; NCRLA Pastry Chef of the Year, and the NCRLA Mixologist of the Year.
