Now in its ninth thrilling season, NCRLA’s Chef Showdown is North Carolina’s ultimate statewide culinary and mixology competition. Presented by Got To Be NC, this high-stakes showdown spotlights the state’s top chefs, pastry chefs, mixologists, and distilleries as they craft bold dishes and compete for the titles of Chef of the Year, Pastry Chef of the Year, Mixologist & Distillery of the Year, and Best Mocktail of the Year.
The highly anticipated competition kicks off in April with Preliminary Rounds, where competitors are challenged to create dishes and drinks that highlight the finest North Carolina proteins, produce, and products. Those who rise to the challenge, advance to the Semi-Finals where they compete to earn their place in the spotlight at the Chef Showdown Grand Finale at Bay 7 in Durham on August 4, 2025.
Winners of this year’s top titles also earn the prestigious title of Got To Be NC culinary ambassadors, championing North Carolina’s rich food and drink culture.
At the Grand Finale, guests get in on the action—sampling bite-sized portions of sweet and savory creations, sipping competition cocktails and mocktails, and casting their votes for the Sysco People’s Choice favorites. And, for the first time ever, our Grand Finale will feature a NC Wine Bar!
