The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Title III (ADA)

Under North Carolina law and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), people with disabilities may bring their service animals to all “public accommodations,” such as restaurants, museums, hotels, and stores. These laws also require those who operate transportation services to allow service animals. Public accommodations in North Carolina must comply with both state and federal law, and their patrons are entitled to rely on whichever law provides the most protections.
