DESCRIPTION:In a show of support for the hospitality industry\, 50 golfers participated in the 2023 NCRLA Charlotte Area Golf Classic\, raising funds for the NCRLA Foundation. Java Jeff’s Coffee & Tea emerged victorious\, with Landon Carroll\, Jeff Carroll\, Drew Carroll\, and Brett Davis clinching the top spot. Burke Hospitality and Pepsi teams placed second and third\, respectively.\n\nThe event was presented by US Foods and held at Rocky River Golf Club in Concord. This fundraiser underscored the hospitality industry’s importance and dedication to service\, with proceeds helping fund the NCRLA Foundation. SUMMARY:2026 NC ProStart Invitational
DESCRIPTION:The North Carolina ProStart Invitational (NCPI) is an annual event that highlights the creative abilities of ProStart program students from across the state. North Carolina ProStart schools are invited to bring two teams—culinary and/or restaurant management—with up to five students per team. During the culinary competition\, student competitors prepare a three-course meal in 60 minutes and are evaluated on taste\, skill\, teamwork\, safety and sanitation. In the management category\, teams develop and present a proposal for the next promising restaurant concept. Students must communicate their entrepreneurial ideas clearly and use their problem-solving skills to solve challenges faced by managers daily.
